You know you want to play along, too!
So between all my whining yesterday about writer's block and the time I went to bed, I managed to start two more blog posts (saved in draft to be cleaned up before being released later this week.) This afternoon I got yet another idea that I've been playing around with, also in draft, so maybe I get a break from the block for a little bit. (Now before you get your hopes up, notice I didn't say I got three great ideas for blog posts ... or three good ideas... or even three passable ideas - I just said I got three so, you know, keep that in mind.)
On to the fun (my answers in bold, as usual):
1. I believe whatever doesn't kill you would probably taste good on toast with tomato and mustard.
2. If you're good at something, you still don't have to do it.
3. Why so many verbs in French have to be complicated, yo!
4. Something is out there, it's hiding behind the door.
5. If my life were a sitcom, it would be titled something with three words or less.
6. Sitting on my balcony [if you don't have one, use your imagination] I see a big ugly hotel, a small stage set up in the park, surrounded by Cardinal beer tents and, behind the haze, the Alps.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to Faux Pho and Guitar Hero, tomorrow my plans include a nice walk and taco salad and Sunday, I want to continue playing Guitar Hero and eating random things!

Friday Fill-in Fun
Looks like it's time for another set of Friday Fill-ins! Please entertain me and play along in the comments or in your own blog! My additions are in bold (not blood as I had originally typo-ed it...)
1. Birthdays are kind of overrated - especially as you get older - then again, it's hard to complain about an excuse to eat cake.
2. Fall is my favorite season because the heat of summer is fading while the leaves are brightening and the air outside smells so complex and rich.
3. I feel my best when I'm painting and it's going well enough that I've lost track of time.
4. There is no way I could choose one item and declare that it is my favorite food!
5. First impressions are just as important as people say but still no excuse to drive yourself crazy with worry.
6. The best piece of advice I ever received was probably from my mom or dad and is now so deeply ingrained in my psyche that I can't separate it from my actions.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to going to jui jitsu and dodging sweat, tomorrow my plans include seeing the yodelers in Lucerne unless we get lazy and Sunday, I want to get really lazy!

Friday Fill-ins, completed on time!
Hello again - I'm back already! My last post might have been just a tad bit heavy, so I'm lightening things up a bit with another installment of Friday Fill-ins. As always, it would be fun if you post your own fill-ins in the comments or, even better, on your blog if you have one!
My answers in bold, of course!
1. Taking a trip carrying only what fits in a small backpack is high up on my bucket list.
2. My favorite quote is "I like you - you're tolerable"; it's from Mr K, of course!
3. Sharing with friends and family and a chance to develop my writing skillsinspired me to start blogging.
4. Strawberries are best bought locally and in season.
5. Water was pouring out of my ceiling and I was stressed out about trying to explain the situation to our building concierge in French in the last dream I remember having.
6. The most enjoyable time to go for a walk is right before a summer storm, when the wind is blowing but the rain hasn't started.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to jiu jitsu and Mario Kart, tomorrow my plans include much cooking and eating with friends, with a possibility of Frog Museum in early afternoon and Sunday, I want to not clean, not do dishes, and not do laundry!

More Friday Fill-ins Fun
http://fridayfillins.blogspot.com/
My answers in bold once more.
1. There is absolutely NO way you can get me to stop with the running and shrieking in the presence of bees and wasps!
2. The sudden emergence of absolutely glorious produce at the grocery reminds me that summer is almost here!
3. I cannot live without my BFF CNC.
4. Hopping on the train without reservations or a specific destination and traveling with only one backpack are two things I'd like to try.
5. When life hands you lemons you make (Lynchburg) lemonade, of course.
6. Playing with Fred is my favorite childhood memory.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to adding to my impressive bruise collection at jiu jitsu, tomorrow my plans include surprise three-birthday dinner at some fancy restaurant and Sunday, I want to sleep off the copious amounts of food we plan to consume on Saturday!
If you have a minute, leave your fill-in in the comment section!

Friday Fill-in - Slacker's Saturday version!
Thanks to the nifty blogger who created this over at http://fridayfillins.blogspot.com/
I would love to see your version cut and pasted into the comments - maybe please? Pretty pretty please? C'moooooon! My answers are the text bold.
1. Two of my favorite ingredients in a drink are mint and lemon - works in mixed drinks, iced tea, hot tea and even plain water - all-purpose!
2. Mr K's ability to pick up anything and get good at it quickly often amazes me.
3. You can keep doing that forever, the dog is never going to understand you the way that cat does.
4. Throw about half the spices in the cabinet in a bowl, light on the cinnamon, mix it all together and voila! You have a pretty ok rub for steak or chicken! Remember - light on the cinnamon.!
5. If I had a yard with a garden, I would love to grow all of my own herbs and most of my own veggies. And chickens, but just to keep me company. I've wanted silkie chickens of my own for years..
6. The sauna is best au naturel.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to playing some Grand Theft Auto after finding the game and an Xbox on sale for less that the US price, tomorrow my plans include improving my driving skills and learning more of the city and Sunday, I want to maybe let Mr K have a turn at GTA.... maybe not!!
